Our Digital Method Case Keeps Filling Up: The First Official Schulz von Thun Method "Inner Team 2.0" and the Digital Notepad Go Live

Dear coachingspace community,

our autumn update is here! Look forward to the Inner Team 2.0, the first method we developed in cooperation with the Schulz von Thun Institute, and to the notepad, our new tool for all worksheets and writing assignments.

Inner Team 2.0

Coherent communication, and thus interaction, becomes possible when people get to know the many inner parts that resonate in every interaction, and clarify their meaning for themselves. The Inner Team externalizes these inner voices and helps clients enter into resonance with themselves regarding their concern.

A good year ago, the beta version of our digital Inner Team went online. And even though we ourselves were never really satisfied with its functionality and scope, we were delighted by the abundant positive feedback from many of you, which also convinced the Schulz von Thun Institute to develop the tool further in cooperation with us.

Together with Maxie Schulz von Thun and Kathrin Zach from the Schulz von Thun Institute, we are pleased that the Inner Team 2.0 can now be used in coachingspace. The restriction to a few male team members and the limited feature set are now history. Look forward to numerous new male and female inner parts*, various speech and thought bubbles, and whiteboard functions that allow you, for example, to draw in coalitions or conflicts.

In addition, the new version lets you configure whether clients can also see and co-select the available team members (as before), or whether the view of the existing team members is reserved exclusively for consultants and coaches.

The Schulz von Thun Institute recommends leaving the setting deactivated, at least at the start of the counseling, so clients can concentrate fully on their inner world. The chosen setting can then be changed with one click during the session.

All Inner Teams created in the first generation are of course preserved. As shown in the screenshot below, they are simply labeled "old version" for better clarity, but can still be opened and edited as usual. A transformation from old to new Inner Teams is unfortunately not possible.

We like the new version of the Inner Team worlds better than the old one. Still, behind the scenes we are already busily developing further with the Schulz von Thun Institute. The third-generation Inner Team is to include, for example, a function that makes it easier to create the various inner orders. You have more ideas for improvement? As always, we look forward to any feedback at feedback@coachingspace.net.

Inner Team workshop with Kathrin Zach from the Schulz von Thun Institute

Like the constellation board and the positioning cards, the Inner Team is a powerful coaching instrument. That makes it all the more important to know and master it before use, both technically and methodically. That is why, as with the constellation board and the positioning cards, we offer online workshops for the Inner Team through our cooperation partner qualifire.online. The first workshop takes place on 2 December and can be booked via the link below.

With Kathrin Zach from the Schulz von Thun Institute, the workshop is led by a true expert. She has worked side by side with Friedemann Schulz von Thun for many years and has given hundreds of trainings on the Inner Team. Together with coachingspace initiator Benjamin Lambeck, she will show how the digital variant can be integrated effectively into coaching and counseling processes, and what added value that creates.

Digital notepad

The Inner Team is not the only new tool in our digital method case, however. As of today, it is joined by the digital notepad. This is a web-based text editor (also called an Etherpad) with which texts can be edited collaboratively by consultants, coaches and clients, with all changes immediately visible to everyone. The changes of different editors are distinguished by color.

The text can also be exported at any time in a variety of file formats and saved locally. The tool opens numerous new possibilities for consultants and coaches, which we will cover shortly in a separate blog post.

For now, as always: happy exploring and successful coaching in coachingspace!

Your coachingspace team
