Off to the Grand Hotel of Needs: The Summer Update with Many New Functions for the Constellation Board and the Positioning Cards Is Here!
Dear coachingspace community,
it is that time again: our virtual consulting room has received an update, with numerous features you asked for.
Client names
Anyone working with larger groups in coachingspace will have noticed that it is sometimes not so easy to keep track of who is already logged in and who is not. Until now, all participants of a session appeared numbered, and thus anonymous, on the left side. The wish that everyone, coach and clients, could enter their names was more than understandable.
In the new version, the problem is history: the coach is now automatically labeled as such, and clients can (voluntarily) name themselves in two ways: either directly in the waiting area before the session starts (see graphic below). If the entry is forgotten there, or the session is started directly in a method, the waiting area is skipped. The name can then still be entered via a click on "Active session" at the top right.
Several new functions on the constellation board and the positioning cards
There were also several suspiciously frequent wishes for the online constellation board (special thanks go to the online constellation working group of DGfS NRW), and similarly for the Map of States of Being. Many of these wishes arrive with this update; our developers keep working on all the others in the background. From now on…
…figures on the constellation board and positioning cards can be scaled in size.
…figures and animals look out from the correct height of their respective inner perspective. Unlike the snake, the giraffe keeps the overview.
…line-of-sight arrows for the figures can be shown and hidden. The corresponding button sits to the left of the slider for the line of sight.
…tooltips appear, small hints when you hover over a function button.
…full-screen mode can be started easily via the square at the bottom right.
…deleting or saying goodbye to a figure or animal must be explicitly confirmed.
…the long word snakes when naming figures are history, since lines now wrap when names or texts above the figures become too long.
The Grand Hotel of Needs is our third interactive Coachingcard
With the Grand Hotel of Needs, a new Coachingcard by our cooperation partner Antonia Klein-Nikolaidis (coachingcard.de) moves into coachingspace (and this much we can already reveal: it will not be the last :-).
Based on the work of Max-Neef and Rosenberg, the Grand Hotel contains all the relevant needs each of us feels over the course of a life. Rosenberg and Max-Neef see a tension between deficit and potential in fulfilled and unfulfilled needs. The potential lies in the motivation that arises to fulfill unfulfilled needs. Needs can thus also represent a resource. The motivation to fulfill needs can reveal new paths to their fulfillment.
It is simply a joy to embark on this low-threshold search for your needs and check into the Grand Hotel. And aren't we all suffering from vacation withdrawal right now anyway? So off to the Grand Hotel!
Via this link you can take a look at the rest of the hotel (we have locked editing).
We wish all our colleagues a beautiful, relaxed summer. May the needs of the four people in the hotel image above be met.
