The Covid crisis has enormously accelerated developments in the online coaching market. Many systemic consultants had to, and now once again have to, move their coaching into the digital space. Offers are springing up everywhere.
But we at coachingspace are convinced that digital counseling can become normality even after Covid. The direct advantages of coaching "from a distance" are obvious: with no travel to and from appointments, the time required drops for both sides, efficiency rises, and you do something for the environment along the way. Beyond that, we see a series of further big opportunities: through higher availability, a coach can respond more agilely to (acute) client inquiries, you save the costs of a consulting room, and from research on online therapy and coaching we now know that these can be just as effective as offline formats.
Benjamin and I, the two systemic consultants on our team, also had to move all our counseling offers into the digital setting during the first Covid lockdown. After some initial test runs, one thing quickly became clear to us: online counseling has to work differently today! Where, for example, are all the beloved systemic tools like the constellation board or the Inner Team? And where is the comfortable couch when we sit in front of our computers?
The idea quickly took shape: we need a virtual consulting room! And since with Philipp and Sören two developers among our friends were keen to support us on this journey, and with Mischa our man for the numbers was quickly found, an idea became reality in no time.
